The article “Seven Facets of the Great Steppe” is a legitimate continuation of the “Spiritual Revival” program. Within the framework of this program and in honor of the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence, Otrar state archaeological preserve-museum organized a historical and educational expedition to Ulytau of Karaganda oblast “From Otrar to Ulytau – the homeland of great people.” The expedition was attended by a group led by the head of Otrar reserve-museum Zhangeldy Makhashov, the people’s poet Aselkhan Kalybekova, the deputy akim of Otyrar region Perdekhan Zhapparkulov and representatives of culture of the region.
The expedition began with the worship of the holy places of the Ulytau region and continued with an event dedicated to the history of Otrar and the great names of Otrar.
As part of the event, folk poetess Aselkhan Kalybekova read a dedication; representatives of our region sang songs about the homeland of the Great – Otrar, and the legacy of Abu Nasir al-Farabi was promoted among the residents of Ulytau.
